Our Open Masterclasses are one of our flagship programmes. As well as being at the heart of all NHS work, the patient is at the heart of our Masterclasses, and as they are open to all NHS staff in London, from admin staff to senior consultants and managers, topics and content is relevant and applicable to all. We run around six sessions across the financial year on a range of topics that introduce a concept or development idea to leaders working in a health and social care context. Previous topics include:
- Generation X and Y Leadership – Sue Honore, Ashridge Business School
- Collaborating Across Healthy & Social Care Boundaries – Q Learning
- Storytelling for your Leadership Journey – Mythodrama
- The Psychology of Change Leadership – Damian Hughes
LLA Masterclasses are a half-day session, usually running from 09:00 – 12:30. They are facilitated by an external speaker, with logistical support from the LLA team. The session should be highly interactive, and can be attended by up to 120 people. Delegates range in clinical and managerial background, and come from a range of NHS organisations. The Masterclass Series is free to attend and open to all, attracting a range of NHS employees who are at different stages of their leadership journeys. LLA Masterclasses are consistently in demand and oversubscribed. Here is what attendees have to say:
“Very inspiring and thought provoking”
“It has given me real insight into the leader I want to be, and to achieve what I have always wanted to achieve”
